how to remove pause in hp printer
HP printers may face the pause error due to several reasons, such as paper or ink cartridge problems, outdated printer software, and so on. If the printer is in pause mode, it cannot respond to the assigned print jobs. Follow the methods listed below to solve the printer pause error on your HP printer.
UNINSTALL AND REINSTALL THE PRINTER DRIVER:
If the printer driver is already installed on your computer, then you need to uninstall it and reinstall the driver. You can follow the below instructions to do it.
- Click on the Start button from the computer’s main screen.
- Go to the Control Panel option and open it.
- Now, choose the Hardware and Sounds option from the list of menus.
- Select the Devices and Printers option.
- Now, right-click on the printer’s driver that you want to uninstall from the list.
- Select the Remove Device option from the menu.
- After uninstalling the driver, you must reinstall it on your computer.
- Use the driver installation CD to install the printer’s driver on your computer.
- If you don’t have the driver installation CD, then visit the official support page of your printer and download the printer driver.
- Now, open the downloaded driver file to start the installation process on your computer.
- Perform the on-screen instructions to finish the driver installation.
Disable the Pause Printing option
- Connect your smartphone (iOS, Android, Windows Mobile, or Chromebook) to the same wireless network to which the printer is connected.
- Now, install the HP Print Service Plugin or the HP Print for Chrome app, or use the AirPrint feature on your smartphone and perform the setup process by following the on-screen instructions.

SET HP PRINTER AS DEFAULT:
- Select the Start button from the main screen and search for Control Panel.
- On the Control Panel screen, select the Hardware and Sounds option.
- Click on the Devices and Printers menu.
- Now, right-click on your printer’s name.
- Choose the Set as default printer option.
For Windows 10:
- Click on the Start button and select the Settings option.
- Choose the Devices menu and click on the Printers & Scanners option.
- Make sure to deselect the Let Windows manage my default printer option.
- Now, choose your printer from the list.
- If your printer displays multiple times, click on the printer with the online status.
- Now, select the Manage option and click on the Set as default button.
